Over the last 20 years we’ve worked extensively with the following species and groups at site throughout England, Wales and Scotland – badgers, bats, dormouse, great crested newt, reptiles, white clawed crayfish and Invasive non-native species.
Daniel Ahern Principal Ecologist
Daniel is an experienced ecologist with a wide skills base gained in both the private and public sectors. He has been technical lead on large capital projects for regulators, government and utilities. Daniel has led freshwater & terrestrial ecology teams and has a robust understanding of current legislation and monitoring requirements.
He currently holds NE licences for bats (level 2), white-clawed crayfish & GCN. Daniel has held SNH and NPWS licences for fresh-water pearl mussel and white-clawed crayfish in addition in addition to NE licences for Luronium natans.
Daniel’s role is as ecologist, technical author and reviewer.
Peter Allen Graduate Ecologist
Peter is an enthusiastic graduate ecologist who gained experience and knowledge of ecology in his time at university where he gained a Distinction in his Masters of science degree. Recently he has been assisting Daniel Ahern on his current projects within the private sector, through performing Preliminary Roost and Ecological Appraisals, and authoring reports for clients. Peter has experience in a range of field surveys in terrestrial and freshwater environments, and using GIS to facilitate accurate mapping of sites, both from the office and within the field.
